Hail to the faces !

Good evening lads and birds.

Jeremy and I were having a jaunty banter earlier this evening over some delicious tartines. The idea of sharing a virtual space was raised. A place where we could blog about what we like and find inspiring, whatever it might entail.
No doubt it'll be mostly about music and gigs.
Let's bite the bullet.

What should we kick off with ? I'm obsessed with a track that really stood out from Revolver's debut album "Music For A While".


The rest of the album sounds a tad trite to me but this song got me hooked up straight away. A simple guitar riff chimes in the background, soft voices intertwine in beautiful harmony, blending into a scrumptious medley. An aural delight for my picky ears I must say.

Drifting off towards a different genre, Lucile (whom a few of you might know now) just sent me the link to this amazing, kinda eerie music video:


Port Royal was absolutely unheard of for me until now. They're italian. They've released five LPs. You can find the track ("Balding Generation-Losing Hair As We Lose Hope") on their last record Dying In Time. I can't wait to fulfil my musical urges with these little gems. If you guys are benighted as well, it might give you an inkling of their electronica-ambientish style. I love how the song slowly builds up and keeps hovering wildly through layers of synthesizers.
